I have this friend.  Her name is Becky.  She’s pretty amazing.  In case you don’t know her, here’s the rundown:  Becky is part sorority girl/part outdoorslady, part southern belle/part New Yorker, part art gallery attendee/part table dancer, part fashionista/part jorts-wearer, part introspective/part social butterfly, and the list could go on.  In short:  she’s fabulous and the kind of girl every girl wants to be.

After college, Becky up and moved to New York to do her thing.  No job, no apartment, just a few friends.  Just up and moved.  She ended up getting everything worked out and doing the NYC scene for a little while.  Then, after realizing how crazy that place is, decided she needed to get away (if you want to read more about her New York journey, check out her tumblr site).

And what better method of getting away than to hike the Appalachian Trail?  Yeah.  She’s doing that.  Like 1,100 miles, 80 days worth of wilderness.  She is hoping to find opportunities to blog her journey over at Becky’s Appalachian Trail Adventure.  There are some updates already posted, and it looks like she’s going to be needing some support.

She’s great and I just might want to be her when I grow up.

In the midst of all my Appalachian Trail attempts and drama, I fell behind on your blog! I am just now reading it, but I think it’s better that it’s coming to me belatedly. Thank you for the shout-out and support. You’d better believe my five-year plan includes tackling the whole damn thing at once! I’ll even send postcards to your dad. 🙂

    By the way: YOU’RE fabulous!
